Andrew Blackwood Rallying
On the 24th of November we head down to the Isle of Anglesey in wales for the Season Finale, the Glyn Memorial Rally. This is the last round of the Junior 1000 Ecosse Rally Championship and It is a personal favourite of mine thanks to it being the only junior rally in the UK which features stages which go late in to the night. It is one of two events during the year which features junior drivers from the four nations in the UK. This round is one of the longest mileage on the calendar as it consists of two days of rallying. We head down with confidence after having a good result last time out at kames where we got 5th overall so we know the pace is there to get a good result. We did this event last year, so we know what to expect and hopefully improve on last year’s result of 6th Scottish car
With this event being the last round of the championship, it is very important as it can determine where we will finish in the championship. At the moment we are 5th so a strong result in Wales will assure this and possibly be able to move up depending on other results. We hope to be able to get at least a top 4 in the Scottish juniors which would be a good result to close off my second year in the juniors.
All of this would not be possible without the brilliant support from all my sponsors, Creo Design, Love Street Coachworks, M Torrance Garage and The Cobble Shop. Follow our progress on our Facebook Page, Andrew Blackwood Rallying.
