Big Fun at Big Afternoon Out
The showers didn’t put a dampner on our annual Big Afternoon out! We were at Eglinton Country Park and were able to use the Rackets Hall for lunch and games. Ice cream and rounders followed outside.

Cycling The 5 Ferries
A great time was had by all on our Summer five ferries challenge.

5 ferries
4 stops (at least!) for lunch, coffee, to catch our breath & to admire the views
3 islands (Arran, Bute & the UK mainland)
2 very steep, long hills
1 great day out!!!
RGCC is a road cycling club that’s open to all retired folk which sets off every Monday morning from the church. Contact Roy Graham for more info 484145.

The people of Stewarton have raised more than £1000 during Christian Aid week.
Church members helped Sainsbury’s customers pack their shopping and offerings were taken at church services. Christian Aid raises money to tackle the effects of poverty as well as its root causes. Last year, 20,000 churches across the country helped raise £12m for Christian Aid Week.
Thanks to these efforts, many more people can look forward to a future free from poverty.

Light Party
John Knox was filled with children for this year’s light party, a light, bright alternative to Halloween. There was fancy dress and older children came in their onesies. Roy and Ally from our Fit For A King Summer holiday club welcomed the children and there was a bouncy castle, music, crafts, hot dogs and ice cream! The fun continues every Sunday morning at 11am.

100 teenagers from across Ayrshire attended Firewall at JK in October. Firewall is a lively, action-packed worship event from Scripture Union and Urban Saints that moves around the 3 Ayrshire local authority areas.

Victorian Cream Tea

The ladies of JK had fun dressing up Victorian style for a coffee morning that raised more than £1000 for healthcare charity EMMS International. For details of all our activities, groups and service times see and
