Lainshaw Parents Association

Lainshaw Primary Parents’ Association had a packed year of fun events and fundraising for the children of the school in 2016/17; from movie nights (making use of the new screen and projector bought by the PA last year) to the Winter Fayre and school discos. The fun kept going right to the end of term with the annual shorts and shades disco and a movie night, both following on from a hugely successful Family Fun Night in May. The Fun Night was just that….fun! With funfair rides as well as lots of fun games for children and adults alike. The weather was kind and the sun came out, making the evening even more fun as beat the goalie, welly toss and the bouncy castles could be outside in the school grounds. The many attendees also enjoyed meeting two of Police Scotland’s Mounted Branch as well as having a go in one of the Bowie monster trucks.

Thanks to everyone who attended, we had takings of over £2,800 on the evening. Lainshaw Primary Parents’ Association thanks all of the pupils and their families who support the work of the PA tirelessly throughout the year. As the new term begins, the fun starts all over again. The PA are always keen to welcome new members from the parents and carers of children in the school. Please join the Facebook page (only open to parents or carers of children in the school) for all information on meetings and events.

Here’s to another successful and fun year ahead!
