Stewarton Bonnet Guild Torchlight Procession, Bonfire and Fireworks Display
Following on from the resounding success of last year’s winter Torchlight Procession, Stewarton Bonnet Guild are delighted to confirm the event will run once again this year on Saturday 30th December 2017, starting at 7pm.
Leaving from Torrance Motor Engineering on the High Street at 7pm – torches and glowsticks will be available to buy from 10am – 2pm on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th Dec 2017. Torches are limited to 800, so it is advisable to buy early to avoid disappointment! The parade will be led by Lomond and Clyde Pipe Band, to Lainshaw Woods where the Bonfire and fireworks display will be staged and hot dogs and refreshments will be available. After the fireworks Scottish Fire and Rescue will also provide a practical demonstration.

Please wear old clothing to this event, and make sure you wearing nothing loose or flyaway. We are carrying torches – so please also be aware that even light winds can make embers fly and wax melts. Please do not bring sparklers as you will be asked to dispose of them.. Be aware – think safe!
