Award-Winning Ayrshire Theatre Companyset to stage panto Harry Potter And The Yellow Brick Road !

Christmas is fast approaching and Stewarton Drama Group are delighted to announce that their 43rd annual pantomime will be ‘Harry Potter & The Yellow Brick Road’, written & directed by David Robertson.

The colourful show will be presented in the theatre in the Stewarton Area Centre every night at 7.30pm from Thursday 1st December until Saturday 3rd December 2014 with two matinee performance’s at 12noon & 4.30pm on Saturday 3rd.

This year’s show has something for everyone and features a wonderful selection of traditional panto characters guaranteed to keep the audience entertained.

This year’s panto heroin Dorothy (Caren McLean), will need to have her wits about her as she endeavours the journey down the yellow brick road along with her father (Paul Glaswell) to find her way back home. Along the way she bumps into The Lion (Alison Barr) The Scarecrow (Suzie MacLeod) and of course The Tin Man (Fiona Gordon), who have all been put under a spell by the terribly bad Dementor (Walter Findlay).

The journey is not an easy one but later they come across a young wizard, Harry Potter (Jim Goldie) and his two fellow students the feisty Hermaine (Dee Maccoll) and fiery haired Ron (Gavin Cook). This trio could be a great help to our friends!

Dementor will continue to be a hindrance to our friends along with his fellow baddies of Hogwarts, Lord Voldemort (Craig McLaughlan) and Draco (David Robertson)

Along with lots of laughs there’s going to be a fantastic sound track helped along with our chorus members, Patricia Kane, Melissa McCluskey, Karen Stirling, Janet Robertson, Jean Findlay, Laura Raeside & Betty Porrelli. Our musical director, Ewan Mains will entertain our audiences with many classic numbers and our dance choreographer Joanne Robertson will have the cast moving to the beat all day and night!

Tickets for the show, priced at £8.00 full price and £5.00 concession, are on sale every day at Stewarton Library. Alternatively, you can reserve your seats NOW by emailing [email protected] There is also a special block booking offer of Buy 10 Tickets, Get One Free.
